Rain proved to be the secret ingredient for this gorgeously styled shoot, captured by the talented Rachel Elaine Photography. Arlington Hall at Lee Park looked stunning with everything in full bloom. There was something so unexpectedly striking about the fresh and cleansing addition the rain and wet grounds added to the ambiance of the setting. The trees were bright and lush, which played the perfect contrast to the white Hall and grey sky. There is something utterly romantic about a grey sky. Perhaps it’s that feeling you get when it’s raining outside that makes you want to go snuggle up with your love; that cozy comforting smell of fresh rain that makes you want to savor the moment.

The vision for this styled shoot was to create a fine art editorial while having a heavy emphasis on the fine details. Using a soft color palette of white, green, pink, and touches of grey opened up a cohesive setting while allowing the finer aspects of the details to shine. The unique use of candles was a focus for this shoot, and by marrying the ideas of fire from the candles, water from the rain, and earth from the heavy use of greenery, the whole ambiance of the shoot became stunningly natural. From the bride’s headpiece to the linens under the invitations, every aspect was specifically chosen to provide the esthetics we were after. We all absolutely adore how the tablescape turned out. The exquisitely perfect centerpiece created by Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe brought life to our color palette. The ceremony space, complete with beautiful antique candlesticks provided by Coral Lane, was the perfect touch to bring romance into an already gorgeous area.
