The global pandemic has put a serious strain on weddings over the past year, but that doesn’t mean that couples aren’t still looking to tie the knot. Extravagant receptions with hundreds of people are ‘so two years ago’ anyways, so why not switch it up and still have the option to get married to your significant other? What was once normal to include in your wedding may not be available in 2021, but the latest wedding reports are taking floral trends, wedding attire and reception décor to a whole new level. There are plenty of coronavirus-friendly ways to get hitched and Events by Jade has pulled together the inspiring must-have and outdated must-not wedding trends for 2021. Wedding Trends for 2021 All weddings are personalized to the party’s liking and there’s no wedding taste that fits all. The 2021 wedding trends are slowly beginning to change because of preference and circumstance. From the wedding dress, catering, interior design and décor, couples are preferring to spend money on some things more than others when it comes to their big day. Intimate Ceremonies The top of the wedding trends list for this year begins with more intimate, informal ceremonies. Couples are including less people in their wedding party and invitation list to abide by COVID-19 rules, and still have the luxury to enjoy their special day with loved ones. Inviting your nearest and dearest to a small wedding that guests will love is definitely trending. Inviting up to 25 people on your guest list for your wedding may not seem enticing, but planning a micro wedding is becoming more popular as the pandemic season persists. Micro weddings can be formal and traditional or informal and contemporary, although they tend to be a fusion of both styles. A smaller guest list also allows more budget per guest, granting the bride and groom an opportunity to add private wine tastings, charcuterie boards or other personalized touches throughout the reception. A bespoke soiree allows the bride and groom to engage with each of their guests which is the most popular reason for its surging demand. Assigned Seating While weddings may typically have open seating per table, the seating arrangement this year will be based on assigned chairs. Couples understand that families and friends want to sit next to each other and if they come from the same household, it makes abiding by coronavirus rules much easier for planning the layout. Extended Celebrations Many couples that got engaged in 2020 may have had an intimate ceremony to make it official but are waiting to celebrate their big day how they want it after COVID-19. Micro weddings aren’t for everyone and many brides and grooms want to wait and have the lavish celebration that they’ve always dreamed of after the pandemic. Less Splurging More Saving Over-the-top weddings are slowly dying out and while having an elaborate celebration is exciting, more couples are turning a blind eye to the precarious option this year. Many people have lost their jobs, got laid-off or demoted in 2020, which is why fewer couples are looking to drain their bank accounts, celebrate luxuriously and put on the picture-perfect wedding in 2021. DIY wedding reception favors are also becoming more popular as they allow the bride and groom to add their personal touches to the décor on their wedding day. Couples are adapting to the ‘less is more’ style and limiting their wedding budget, décor and design in order to still have the opportunity to tie the knot when they want. No Way Buffet Buffet catering has been a traditionally popular way to serve dinner at weddings whether they are big or small. Sharing the same utensils during a self-serve buffet doesn’t sound so appealing in 2021, and more couples are opting for plated meals, food trucks and sack lunches. Wedding cakes have not gone out of style and are here to stay. More Couples are Eloping It’s no surprise that eloping has been a progressive trend over the past year. Rather than dealing with the potential headache of downsizing due to the pandemic, couples are preferring smaller affairs and elopements in 2021. Livestream Weddings Livestream wedding ceremonies are on the rise as couples are looking to share their special day with distant friends and family members. Colorful Attire Younger couples are branching out and wearing brighter colors for their weddings. While the bride is still in white, colorful accents on her dress could allow the groom to get creative and opt out from the traditional, black-and-white tuxedo. Green & White Florals are Out The demand for traditional, green and white florals is fading as more couples are inspired to make a bigger statement at their wedding this year. Deeper shades in the color palette like green, burgundy, blue and purple are flooding the accents of wedding décor designs in 2021. Top Wedding Trends for 202 Jade is the lead event planner and designer at Events by Jade who has been making hundreds of wedding dreams come true since 2015.

Social Media Links: @basicinvite When Emily laid eyes on Jimmy, she had no idea that a beautiful adventure was about to begin. After meeting, they grew close while traveling and seeing the US together. And on a radiant June day, their family and friends gathered outside with the Fort Worth skyline in the background, for the moment they finally said, “I DO.”
The morning was all celebration and laugher, decked out in cute matching pajamas, Emily and all her bridesmaids enjoyed listening to music while getting their hair and makeup done. Meanwhile, Jimmy and his guys, hung out downstairs at The Worthington bar. And when the last boutonniere was pinned and the last pair of lips were glossed, the time had arrived to head downstairs to the ceremony. Escorted by her precious brother, Owen, down the aisle surrounded by beautiful florals designed by R Love Floral. This wedding was a joy to plan and design. Emily listened at our guidance and took all our advice to create such a perfect day. We had a great creative team to put this wedding together. Surrounded by family and friends, their life together as husband and wife began. I am so thrilled I was able to be a part of Emily & Jimmy’s special day. They were a true joy to work with for the last year. Meranda and Josh tied the knot on a crisp fall evening in November. The couple made their big day an intimate affair where they could share their love story with their closest family and friends. Coming from a large family, Josh's family welcomed Meranda in with open arms. The couple's laid back and fun personalities made for a celebration full of laughter, fun, and dancing. A short ceremony followed by eating and dancing, Meranda and Josh's day showed off their style and gave guests a look into their fun-loving relationship. Their wasn't a dry eye in the room when Meranda and Josh proclaimed their love for one another and their daughter, as they became a family of three. Getting to spend their special moment with their daughter was the icing on the cake to the perfect wedding day Meranda had always imagined. Meranda had a simple vision in mind that reflected romance and love, but filled the day with fun and entertainment. Choosing bright pinks, peaches, and blue tones, Meranda and Josh created a vibe as bright as their personalities. Adding fresh greenery brought their vision together by adding romance to their overall design. Steering away from tradition, Meranda and Josh planned an event that everyone would remember. Dining on unique food truck bites from Mi Cocina and Ruthie's Rolling Cafe and a dessert display by Sugar Bee Sweets, guests indulged in a comfort meal before they hit the dance floor. When the dancing began, the entire room was ready to party. Creating a fun filled evening, Meranda and Josh entertained guests with fun lights from Alpha Lit Dallas, The Candid Camper Photo Booth, and all their favorite hits from Lankford Media. A casual celebration let guests enjoy their evening with great food, drinks, and fun! Congratulations Meranda + Josh! Vendor Team:

The couple, along with 100 of their closest friends and family made the trip to Midlothian, Texas from the hustle and bustle of city life in California to celebrate. Patricia, a stationery specialist and owner of Petal and Paperie, came across a beautiful white barn venue on Style Me Pretty and knew instantly that was where she wanted to say "I do." After making a special trip to Texas to tour the venue, Patricia fell in love with the venue as fast as she fell for David, and they were ready to plan their dream wedding in Texas. Patricia and David spared no detail in making gets feel the southern charm that only Texas could offer. The couple opted for Reata Catering, a Forth Worth favorite, and Uncle Willie's Pies to serve up the desserts. Letting guests taste the unique flavors of the south added a special experience for their out of town guests. Envisioning a soft and light romantic vibe, Patricia opted for light blue and neutral tones to compliment the white interior of Firefly Gardens. With gold accents, we created a elegant feel to a minimalistic design that allowed guests to dine like royalty. Lush white blooms and greenery from Katie Bug Florals, transformed the room into a fairytale garden. With "LOVE" lighting up the background, everyone could feel the intimacy and romance that filled the room. Creating her own paper goods from her business, Petal and Paperie, Patricia added her own special touch to her menu cards, escort cards, invitations, and seating chart. A special thanks to Megan Kay Photography for capturing all the special memories. Every detail was so perfectly planned that Patricia's day was a breeze. Her family and friends enjoyed a traditional ceremony and a night filled with dancing and celebration as they honored the happy couple. Patricia and David were smiling from ear to ear that all of their loved ones were there to spend their special day with them. Congratulations Patricia and David, we were so happy to be a part of your day! Vendor List:
